Our Mission
Barnes Primary School is a community of learners where everyone is supported to succeed. We provide an intellectually challenging and engaging education that enables all pupils to achieve their full potential.
We are committed to raising expectations and aspirations, fostering a deep interest in learning, and encouraging pupils to apply their knowledge to the world around them.
Our aim is for every child to develop as a confident, independent and self motivated learner, equipped with the essential skills needed for lifelong success. Alongside this, we place great importance on children enjoying their learning and making the most of their childhood.
We seek to make a meaningful difference to each child’s life by preparing them for the opportunities and challenges of the future. Our curriculum is broad, balanced and forward thinking, designed to equip pupils with the knowledge and skills required for life in the twenty first century.
We are committed to ensuring that all children leave our school with strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics. In addition, we inspire them through a rich and varied curriculum that embraces the arts, music and sport.

Our Values
Our values are central to our school culture. We are committed to ensuring they are not simply words, but are embedded in each child’s character and lived experience throughout their time at Barnes Primary School.
We actively promote and celebrate our values through daily practice, assemblies and recognition. Pupils who consistently demonstrate these values are recognised with wristbands, which are highly valued and reflect sustained commitment.
