Trips and Workshops
We believe that history is most powerful when children can see, touch, and experience it for themselves. This is embedded where possible in the classroom learning. Alongside this pupils enjoy a range of exciting educational visits that help bring the past to life and deepen their understanding of the world around them. These trips spark curiosity, build knowledge, and create lasting memories. Below is a selection of the historical visits our children look forward to during their learning journey with us:
Wetlands Centre and Vine Park (YR)
Florence Nightingale Museum (Y2)
Richmond Park (Y3)
Imperial War Museum (Y4)
HMS Belfast(Y4)
Portals from the Past also provide workshops on Stone Age & Romans (Y3), Ancient Greece (Y4), Vikings (Y5) and Ancient Maya (Y6).
