We encourage all parents to continue to read with their children in Year 6. All children, even the most confident readers, will benefit from reading out loud to practise intonation and gain a wider understanding of more complex vocabulary.

Spelling at Home
Curriculum Word Lists
In Year 6 we try to ensure that all children are secure with the spelling of the Year 5 and 6 curriculum words. These are words stipulated in the National Curriculum and are deliberately challenging. Pupils are given plenty of opportunities to learn these words throughout the year.

Calculation Policy

Times Tables
Knowing all multiplication and division facts to 12 x 12 will enable children to be successful with the Year 5 mathematics curriculum. These cards are a great way to practise instant recall of these facts as home.
