At Barnes Primary School we use School Gateway – a parent engagement app that will enable you to make all payments and also receive school related communication.
Our goal is to use School Gateway for as much communication as possible, including newsletters, reminders about upcoming events and also end of year reports. Initially we have focussed on the payment element of the system, so you will find the following charges available to pay on your account:
- School trip costs
- Theme week contributions
- Home learning books
- School run clubs
- PTFA events
- School meals (Nursery only)
- Forest school fees (Nursery only)
HOW TO:
You simply need to download the app – just search School Gateway in your app store and download:

Once downloaded, go to the login screen and enter your email address and mobile number that is registered with the school. You will then receive a PIN by text, enter the 4-digit PIN and you will be logged in and the home screen will be displayed.
You can also log in to the online version of School Gateway if you do not have a smart phone, although we strongly recommend using the app if possible as this makes it far easier for us to communicate with you.
If you have more than one child at Barnes Primary School, they will both/all appear automatically in the app once you have logged in. If you have a child at another school which uses School Gateway, they will be visible in the same account.
