There are a number of organisations in the local area offering a wide variety of childcare options.

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) occupy a full-time base at the school and are therefore the organisation with which we work most closely – offering a breakfast and after school provision to pupils in Nursery through to Year 6, lunchtime playground supervision and additional class based support as and when required. We are lucky to benefit from a close-knit and well-managed team at Barnes who strive to deliver a provision that is accessible, age appropriate, enjoyable and safe.

The extended sessions provide access to a variety of opportunities beyond the school day. These include a diverse range of themed daily activities such as Super Sports, Teamtastic, Activity Challenge, Crafty Kids, The Fun Factory, The Fit Factor and The Healthy Zone – as well as allocating time for home learning. A range of healthy snacks, drinks and light bites are included.

Any organisation wishing to offer an extended provision must be Ofsted registered and subject to regular inspection. Those organisations will accept Childcare Vouchers and have a framework in place to support families who are claiming Child Tax Credits – and potentially other means-tested benefits.
