Charlie Burr

Charlie lived and worked in Paris for her university studies at the University of London, Institute in Paris and gained a 2:1 degree in French studies. Having worked as an English tutor in Paris for the majority of her studies, she decided to move to Quebec, Canada for a year to work for the British Council as a language assistant in a primary school directly after her studies. It was then that she realised that teaching was what she wanted to do most of all. She has recently completed a PGCE from St. Mary’s University, Twickenham and joined Barnes as a Newly Qualified Teacher in September 2017, teaching Year 4. In September 2018 she started her second year of teaching: this time as a Year 5 classteacher and in September 2019 as a Year 6 classteacher.  Charlie is currently completing an M.A. in Education alongside her teaching career.
