Special Resource Provision Development (SRP)

Barnes Primary School has been working closely with Richmond Council to support the extension of ASD provision within Richmond.  We are incredibly proud of how inclusive Barnes Primary School is and we welcome the opportunity to further expand our provision to meet the needs of ASD children who currently do not have a local offer.  We very much look forward to creating a ‘State of the Art’ purpose built, outstanding Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for children to attend.  We trust that you will support us on this journey so that we are able to meet the needs of young children. The proposed SRP site is located where the school site house currently is – directly opposite the Brown Dog.  It is anticipated that the SRP would open in 2022 and would provide specialist places for up to 14 children with ASD (autism).  It would be several years before the provision would reach the maximum number of children as it would open with a growth through approach, starting with the youngest children.
