Jade Huxley and Katie Duncombe are our Year 2 teachers.
Jade Huxley has been with us since September 2008 and is now in her eleventh year of teaching. She attended Lady Margaret sixth form where she gained three A-Levels: history, history of art and government and politics. Subsequently, she attended St Mary’s College and gained a BA (Hons) in Initial Teacher Training. During her course, she specialized in maths, history and the early years. From September 2011 she took on the role of Early Years Leader. Jade was previously a Lead Teacher for the Early Years Foundation Stage in Richmond Local Authority. She moved to Year 1 in September 2013 and took on the role of Key Stage 1 Leader. Jade is a fully trained Maths Mastery Specialist Teacher. She offers professional development and consultancy to teachers in other west London schools.
Katie Duncombe joined our school on a one year schools direct initial teacher training programme in September 2015. She worked closely with Rachel Wilson in Year 5. Katie enjoyed a highly successful year and she was appointed to a permanent teaching position in September 2016. She had an enjoyable and satisfying first year of teaching in Year 3. She moved to Year 2 at the start of the 2017-18 academic year. Yet again she had a fabulous year, with her children achieving excellent end of Key Stage 1 outcomes. In 2018-19 Katie will be in her second year of teaching as a Year 2 practitioner.
