Meet the Teachers

Jade Huxley and Katie Duncombe are our Year 2 teachers.

Jade

Jade Huxley has been with us since September 2008 and is now in her tenth year of teaching.  She attended Lady Margaret sixth form where she gained three A-Levels: history, history of art and government and politics. Subsequently, she attended St Mary’s College  and gained a BA (Hons) in Initial Teacher Training. During her course, she specialized in maths, history and the early years. From September 2011 she took on the role of Early Years Leader. Jade was previously a Lead Teacher for the Early Years Foundation Stage in Richmond Local Authority.  She moved to Year 1 in September 2013 and took on the role of Key Stage 1 Leader. In September 2017 Jade moved to Year 2. Currently she is involved in an extended mathematics professional development programme: Teaching for Mastery – primary specialists programme. She will be spending two weeks in schools in Shanghi, China in September 2017

 Katie Duncombe joined our school on a one year schools direct initial teacher training programme in September 2015. She worked closely with Rachel Wilson in Year 5. Katie enjoyed a highly successful year and she was appointed to a permanent teaching position in September 2016. She had an enjoyable and satisfying first year of teaching in Year 3, working closely with Suzy Cole. She moved to Year 2 at the start of the 2017-18 academic year.
