The school currently has a contract with a company called Caterlink. This contract was established in September 2011. Meals are cooked freshly on site in our kitchens. Amanda, our cook, ensures that her hardworking team create a tasty, balanced meal each day that meets the strict nutritional standards established by the government. Both our school kitchens were substantially upgraded in the summer of 2011, before this contract was taken. The school was able to afford this thanks to generous fundraising from our PTFA. Our school meals are extremely popular with the children, with an uptake just short of 80% having been achieved during the Autumn Term, 2013. Mr Hartley, the Headteacher, and Ms. Jepson, the Deputy Head, regularly lead assemblies when they prepare a special salad. In these lively sessions they introduce pupils to highly nutritious foods , informing the children about a wealth of factual information about the ingredients being used. Our children are very knowledge about healthy food. Current daily charges are £2.40 for nursery children and £2.50 for KS2 children.
