Lunchtimes  The Fit For Sport Team are busy delivering games and activities during Lunchtime with Years 3-6. Here at Barnes Primary School, new equipment has been purchased for the children, with an emphasis on creativity and design. The playgrounds have had zones created to allow children to play in certain areas on different days, allowing freedom to be creative on one day and be sporty on another. The children have the option of building their own cars, forts or towers, as well as participating in Football, Basketball and Cricket tournaments, whilst engaging in skipping and team-building activities. The new focus has been introduced at Barnes Primary School aiming to encompass everything that physical activity has to offer, enhancing both children’s physical literacy skills and cognitive skills.

After School Club During their time with us at after school club, your children will receive a variety of fresh fruit and water on arrival, and we also provide a large healthy dinner for them at 17:15. Our dinner is always nutritious, and caters for those who cannot eat certain meats or have allergies, including Vegetable sticks and dips on Monday, make your own wraps on Wednesdays and create your own pizza Fridays. The children will then be served dessert. Throughout their time at after school club the children will play various age specific sports and games and learn a variety of new skills. New This Term – Fit for Sport are rejuvenating the way in which sport is delivered. We are looking to run sport specific sessions in line with our usual comprehensive programme of activities, aimed at giving your child extensive knowledge of sporting activities.
